Ideelabor on nooruslik R&D taustaga arendustiim, mis on spetsialiseerunud elektroonilise identiteedi ja sellega seonduvate platvormi-spetsiifiliste probleemide lahendamisele. Meeskonnal on pikaajaline kogemus multiplatvormsete arenduste ning erinevate süsteemide integreerimisega. Ideelabor pöörab oma töös rõhku avatud standarditele, avatud arendusprotsessidele ning üldisele turvateadlikkuse tõstmisele.

Koostöös AS Sertifitseerimiskeskusega on loodud ID-kaardi baastarkvara erinevatele platvormidele. Nimetatud tarkvara on installeeritud 40% arvutitel, mis kasutavad ID-kaarti, ning seda tarkvara kasutab igapäevaselt ~60 000 inimest Eestis ja välismaal.

Ideelabor on eksperimenteerinud erinevate mõtetega, millest eID suunitlusega püüdlused on koondunud OpenID.ee teenusesse. OpenID.ee on kasutajakeskne ning turvaline isikutuvastusteenus, mis võimaldab kasutajatel edastada enda kohta käivaid isikuandmeid turvaliselt ning mugavalt. Teenus põhineb OpenID standardil ning on seeläbi ühilduv paljude arendusvahenditega, mis omakorda lubab kergelt kasutada ID-kaardi ja Mobiil-ID infrastruktuuri laiatarbe veebirakendustes.

Ideelabor

Ideelabor is a small R&D oriented consulting team with focus on electronic identity. The company has a wealth of expertise in vendor-neutral software development, systems integration and open standards. eID end-user software created by Ideelabor is being used daily at least on 60 000 consumer computers in Estonia and abroad, including Windows, Mac OS X and Linux systems. In partnership with the Estonian Certification Authority (SK) Ideelabor's software is present on at least 40% of all installations done by the official eID software installer.

Ideelabor has created several prototypes that have grown into real life solutions in the eID sector, by creating an open source and open standards based eID software stack for the web. This includes open source base software (OpenSC), and open standards based federated, privacy preserving strong identity layer with OpenID, which is now the market leading identity framework for web applications. Ideelabor has implemented the first and only OpenID server in Estonia that uses strong two-factor authentication based on Estonian national ID-card (with potential support for other EU-eID projects) thus giving ordinary web applicatons an opportunity to use the verified identification information of the national public key infrastructure.

SK Estonian Certification Center drives the evolution of Estonian ID-card. The main purpose of SK is to be the leading provider of certification products and services in Estonia. Currently, the largest project handled by SK involves issuing authentication and digital signature certificates to Estonian ID cards as well as Mobile-ID SIM cards.

Swedbank Swedbank (formerly known as Hansabank) is the leading financial institution in the Baltic countries with close to 3 million active customers and over 6,000 employees. Swedbank defines itself as a Baltic financial institution with strong local banks in all the Baltic countries - Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
